Martin Postweiler is in charge of banking operations at Fidor Bank, Germany’s first fintech bank. One of his main focuses is (cyber) fraud prevention, for example through real-time processes or geo-blocking technology. He trained at Siemens in the 1990s, when fax and check fraud were still a daily occurrence. Martin Postweiler could see first-hand how fraud patterns develop in line with technological innovation during his time at Lufthansa and Merck, and in particular with IT providers TIS and Hanse Orga, where fraud prevention was also a top priority.
